Rx for Africa to launch anti-retroviral drugs in Ethiopia

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia- Dr. Mulugetta Bezzabeh, CEO of RX for Africa (Ethiopia) PLC, in an exclusive interview with SSI, has announced that his pharmaceutical company is set to start producing anti-retroviral drugs in Ethiopia and is in the process of producing HIV/AIDS drugs
Rx for Africa (Ethiopia) PLC, is an Ethio-American pharmaceuticals In addition it is set to build a pharmaceutical laboratory on a 300 square meter plot of land for the production anti-retroviral drugs, with a staff of seven scientists who have already started work some four month ago.

Rx for Africa (Ethiopia) PLC is on the first stage of testing the drugs. on this stage the drugs test in the laboratory in different temperature and humidity factors. The first stage will be completed after three months and then the second stage bio availability test, will be continued.
The drugs, which will be produced by Rx Africa for HIV/AIDS, new to solve the problem of toxicity by three tablets a day to only one tablet a day.

Rx for Africa (Ethiopia) PLC, formerly known as sunshine pharmaceutical and Diamond Entrapment corporation, is a publicly held Corporation, head quarter in walnut, California. Rx Africa-Ethiopia PLC pharmaceutical plant is situated in a twenty three thousand square meters plot of land located to the south of Addis Ababa. The facility was initially established to manufacture drugs for HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis and other generic drugs. The company is currently producing and marketing a total of six products and is in the process of scaling up its production with the expectation of producing at least 30 new products by late 2008 CEO of RX for Africa (Ethiopia) PLC stated “we intended to be a major factor in the manufacturing and distribution of much needed medicines not only in Ethiopia, but also through out Africa. “
