to broadcast millennium celebrations across Ethiopia -Al Amoudi’s company acquires 16 LED wide display screens

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia-With 31 days to the millennium and counting
down Ethio-Saudi tycoon Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Ali Al Amoudi had
assembled a technical team to oversee the acquisition of large multimedia
LED display screens to be part of the millennium celebrations, according
to sources.
The sources state that the Sheikh had already sent the team to China
to follow up on the acquisition of the display screens as well as
the transporting of the display screens to make it before the start
of the festivities. The 16 LED display wide screens would be installed
across the nation in major towns to allow inhabitants in different
cities to view ongoing millennium celebrations across the nation.
According to these sources, the screens have been acquired with
a tab worth in the millions and installation of the screens is expected
to come into effect within a few weeks’ time.
It is evident that the tycoon putting up a convention hall on a
90,000 square meter plot estimated to cost 10 million USD to be
up and running for the millennium celebrations.
Addis Park Development and Management Plc (APDM), a subsidiary company
of MIDROC Ethiopia, owned by Al Amoudi is currently constructing
the massive concert hall located on Africa Avenue near Bole International
Airport to house the major part of the Millennium celebrations.
Some of the multimedia screens are expected to be installed in this
convention hall in addition to two others at the Addis Ababa municipality
and the Sheraton Addis as well as in the Addis Ababa stadium. The
furniture of the convention hall according to these same sources
has already been acquired from China as well. The convention hall
is expected to accommodate 20,000 spectators, and comprises mobile
toilets and other facilities.
